Works in progress

Step into my Nanaimo studio and take a peek behind the curtain. Here, vibrant fabrics, and sudden bursts of intuition slowly transform into shimmering tapestries filled with magic, mysticism, and wonder.

New piece started,  September 15/2026  Working title is,  Harvest Moon. It's gonna be a BIG piece,  approximately  59×55 inches. The colour palate will be very autumn,  golds, browns, greens...earth!  Stay tuned!

From the ether to the backing cloth

Every new piece begins with choosing the foundation. Deciding on the size and shape sets the rhythm, determining whether the backing material will serve as its own rich background or receive layered textiles. Often inspired by a song, a picture, or a sudden feeling pulled right from the ether, the piece begins to take form.

Rocket 🚀 Past the Moon #016

31.5×25.5 inches

Gathering colours, sparkle, and textures

New fabric is often the spark that ignites the entire vision. I gather shimmering textures, iridescent accents, and bold pigments that echo the sun, the moon, and dancing Aurora Borealis skies. Layering these tactile materials creates depth, whimsy, and emotional resonance designed to evoke a genuine response in everyone who sees it.
